Kiwanis Club of Redmond Washington Foundation Announces Scholarship Support for Lake Washington School District Students

‍ ‍

The Kiwanis Club of Redmond Washington Foundation (KCRWF) is proud to announce scholarship support for two outstanding Lake Washington School District students, Daniela Gomez and Tyler Dayton, in connection with this year’s Students of Color Conference and scholarship ceremony.

‍ ‍

The annual Students of Color Conference was held on May 29, 2026, at Cascadia College, bringing together students, educators, families, and community partners to celebrate leadership, achievement, and opportunity. The scholarship ceremony will take place on June 5, 2026.

‍ ‍

The Redmond Kiwanis Scholarship will provide direct support to Gomez and Dayton as they prepare for their next chapter. Scholarship funds will be distributed directly to the recipients to help cover immediate transition needs, such as travel, housing essentials, supplies, or other start-up costs that support their continued education and success.

‍ ‍

“Redmond Kiwanis is honored to invest in students who are building strong futures for themselves and their communities,” said Sue Stewart, President of the KCRWF. “Daniela and Tyler represent the promise, leadership, and resilience our board members and supporters are proud to support through this scholarship” she adds.

‍ ‍

The scholarship effort is part of a broader partnership with Lake Washington School District and community leaders committed to recognizing and supporting students of color as they pursue higher education, career pathways, and future leadership opportunities.
